Hello EH Majors,
The 2014 WSEHA Annual Education Conference is right around the corner! The theme for the conference this year is "Improving Quality of Life in our Communities". The conference is being held at the Great Wolf Lodge on May 12th and 13th. SEHA is arranging for a group of EH students to attend the conference which will provide a unique glimpse into the world of environmental health in Washington state.
Why should you go? The AEC is a two day conference full of presentations you can sit in on and many networking opportunities. Whether you are looking for an internship or a job, this is a great place to meet with professionals in the field right now! SEHA will also spend some time volunteering during the conference to help it run smoothly.
How do you sign up? There are currently 20 spots for EH students and we will fill those spots on a first come- first serve basis. We require a $25 non-refundable deposit to hold your place, this is to encourage students to sign up only if they are serious about going. All of your meals will be catered through the conference, and transportation and rooms are covered as well. You must be a WSEHA member to go. Registration to become a member is only $5 a year for students and comes with many other perks as well. Become a member here: http://www.wseha.org/membership-2/
There is a registration form you will need to fill out which you can get from Chuck Treser or any one of the SEHA Officers: Carley Heinen, Amy Holler, Kilala Barnes, Manisa Pornpeanvichanon, or Dalila Zelkanovic.
Upon filling out the form please have the $25 deposit ready to hand in as well.
Registration prices go up on April 1st so be sure and claim your spot before Spring Break!
